Text Message Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Tundra Transport Rentals LLC sends text messages from (844) 997-2356 for one purpose: to alert the company’s own owners about activity in their vehicle rental business.

We do not text customers

No customer, prospective customer, or other third party ever receives a text message from us. Not booking confirmations, not pickup reminders, not marketing — nothing. If you have rented from us, or are about to, you will hear from us by email at support@tundra-rentals.com or by telephone at (907) 367-3259, never by text.

This is enforced in software, not merely by policy. Our alerting system holds a fixed list of the owners’ mobile numbers and checks every message against that list before sending. A number that is not on the list cannot receive a message, so a customer’s phone number — which we collect only to coordinate vehicle pickup and to process payment — cannot become a destination, even by mistake.

Who receives these messages

The owner-members of Tundra Transport Rentals LLC, on their own mobile numbers, for their own business. Nobody else is enrolled and there is no way to subscribe.

How those recipients consented

Consent is verbal. Each recipient is an owner of the company who asked for these alerts about his own business, directly and in person, and provided his mobile number for that purpose. The company records that instruction, and a number is added to the allowlist only on the strength of it. Because the recipients are the business itself rather than consumers, there is no public sign-up form, no keyword opt-in and no QR code — and none of these messages is sent to anyone who did not ask for them. Consent is withdrawn by replying STOP, or by the company removing the number.

How consent is taken

Before a number is added, the following is read to the recipient and his answer recorded:

“Tundra Transport Rentals LLC would like to send you operational text alerts about this business from (844) 997-2356. You would get a text when a booking is paid for, when a rental contract is signed, when a booking is abandoned before payment, and when a card payment is disputed. That is roughly a few dozen messages a month, sent when those things happen rather than on a schedule. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply HELP at any time for help, and STOP at any time to stop the messages. The messaging policy is at tundra-rentals.com/sms-policy, the terms are at tundra-rentals.com/terms and the privacy policy is at tundra-rentals.com/privacy. Do you agree to receive these text messages at this number — yes or no?”

A number is added only on an explicit “yes”. The recipient is then sent one confirmation message: “Tundra Transport Rentals: you are now receiving alerts at this number. Reply HELP for help, STOP to unsubscribe.” That confirmation is the automatic reply to START, so enrolling a number means adding it to the allowlist and having the recipient text START — which both confirms his consent in writing and returns the confirmation without anyone sending it by hand. The date, the recipient and the answer are recorded by the company.

What we send

Four kinds of alert. These are the actual message formats, with example values:

A booking is paid for
TTR: NEW BOOKING — 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
Oct 12 to Oct 15 (3 nights)
Paid $540
Customer details in the email.
Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
A rental contract is signed
TTR: CONTRACT SIGNED — TTR-2026-0014
2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
Executed PDF emailed to you and filed against the booking.
Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
A card payment is disputed
TTR: ⚠ CARD DISPUTE — $540
Reason: fraudulent
EVIDENCE DUE Oct 28
Respond in Stripe before that date or the money is forfeited automatically.
Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
Someone abandons a booking before paying
TTR: someone started a booking for the 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (Oct 12) and didn't finish paying. Details in the email. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

Alerts carry no customer personal information — no name, email address, telephone number, home address, or driver’s license detail. A booking is identified by the vehicle, the dates, the amount, or the contract number, and anything further is in the email record rather than in a text message.

Frequency

Low and driven by real business events, not by a schedule: on the order of a few dozen messages a month across all recipients. Repeat alerts of the same kind for the same booking are suppressed within a time window, so a customer who abandons a booking and retries produces one message rather than a stream.

Keywords

Recipients can control these messages at any time:

  • STOP — stops all messages to that number. Reply: “You have been unsubscribed from Tundra Transport Rentals alerts and will receive no further messages. Reply START to resume.”
  • START (or YES, or UNSTOP) — enrolls a number, or resumes one that previously sent STOP. Reply: “Tundra Transport Rentals: you are now receiving alerts at this number. Reply HELP for help, STOP to unsubscribe.”
  • HELP — Reply: “Tundra Transport Rentals: operational alerts for the business owners. We do not text customers. Contact support@tundratransportrentals.us. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.”

Message and data rates may apply. This number sends messages only; it is not a customer service line and is not monitored for incoming calls.

Privacy

How we handle the information you give us when you book — including how long license and insurance documents are kept — is set out in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell data, and we do not share mobile numbers with anyone except the messaging provider that delivers these alerts.
