1. What these cover

These terms cover using this website to reserve a vehicle. The rental itself is governed by the Rental Terms and Conditions (v3-2026-09-08), which you accept when you book and which form part of the rental contract you sign before pickup. Where the two differ, the Rental Terms and Conditions govern the rental.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driver's license. You must carry auto liability, collision and comprehensive insurance covering you and the vehicle, and upload proof of it when you book. Only drivers we have listed on the rental contract may drive the vehicle.

3. Booking and payment

Selecting dates holds them for 30 minutes while you complete your booking. The rental fee is charged in full at booking and confirms your reservation. Prices are calculated from the nightly rate for the vehicle you select; the amount charged is always the amount computed by us, never a figure supplied by your browser.

4. Security deposit

A refundable security deposit is authorized on your card at pickup — an authorization hold, not a charge. We capture against it only for amounts you owe under the rental agreement, such as damage, cleaning, fuel, fines or a late return, and release the remainder when the vehicle is returned clean, undamaged and on time.

5. Fuel

Full to full — the vehicle leaves with a full tank and must be returned full. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than it left with, the difference is charged to the deposit.

6. Mileage and where you may drive

Unlimited mileage. No per-mile charge applies. No geographic limit within Alaska road access from Utqiagvik. This is set out in clause 12 of the Rental Terms and Conditions.

The prohibited uses in clause 5 still apply wherever you drive — the vehicle may not be used off-road beyond its capability, for hire, for towing, or by anyone who is not an authorized driver.

7. Other charges

In addition to the rental fee and anything owed for damage, the rental agreement provides for: parking, traffic and toll violations, fines and penalties incurred during your rental; a cleaning fee of up to $350 if the vehicle is returned substantially less clean than it was rented; $50 plus $5 per mile, plus costs, if we have to recover the vehicle; 2% per month on overdue amounts; and $50 for a returned payment. 8. Cancellation

To cancel a booking, contact us at support@tundra-rentals.com as early as you can and we will confirm what refund applies to your reservation in writing before anything is charged or refunded. We are finalizing a published refund schedule and will state it here once it is settled.

9. Your documents

Your driver's license and proof of insurance are stored privately, are never publicly accessible, and are deleted roughly 90 days after your rental ends. See the Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

You are responsible for the vehicle during the rental period, including damage, loss, traffic violations, and recovery costs. The full allocation of risk is set out in clauses 2, 4, 5, 6 and 9 of the Rental Terms and Conditions.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in effect at the time of your booking governs that rental, and the version of the rental terms you accepted is recorded with your signature.
