How booking works
The whole process runs online. Nothing needs to be arranged by phone first.

Availability is live. Choosing dates holds the vehicle for 30 minutes while you complete the rest.

Upload a driver's license and proof of insurance, then sign the rental agreement electronically.

Card payment confirms the reservation immediately. The refundable deposit is authorized in person at pickup, not now.

- How do I rent a vehicle in Utqiagvik (Barrow)?
- Select a vehicle on this site, choose your dates on the live availability calendar, enter your driver details, sign the rental agreement electronically, and pay by card. Confirmation is immediate and is also sent by email.
- How much does it cost to rent a vehicle?
- Daily rates start at $150. Each vehicle page shows its exact daily rate and the full total before you pay. A separate refundable security deposit is authorized at pickup, not at booking.
- Is there a security deposit?
- Yes. A refundable deposit of $250 is authorized on your card at pickup and released when the vehicle is returned undamaged. It is not charged when you book.
- What areas does Tundra Transport Rentals serve?
- Utqiagvik (Barrow) and the surrounding North Slope. Vehicles are collected in town by appointment.
- What do I need to book a rental?
- A valid driver's license and proof of insurance, both uploaded during booking, and a credit card for the rental and the deposit at pickup. Drivers must be at least 25, and only drivers listed on the rental contract may drive.
- Is there a mileage limit or a distance restriction?
- No. Unlimited mileage. No per-mile charge applies. No geographic limit within Alaska road access from Utqiagvik.
- What is the fuel policy?
- Full to full — the vehicle leaves with a full tank and must be returned full. If it comes back with less, the difference is charged to the deposit.
- Can I cancel my reservation?
- Contact us as early as you can at support@tundra-rentals.com. We confirm in writing what refund applies to your reservation before anything is charged or refunded.
